Narayan Nagbali is a three-day Hindu ritual performed at Trimbakeshwar in the Nashik District Maharashtra, India.The Narayan bali ritual is performed by families to liberate souls of family members who met an untimely death and the Nag bali to absolve the sin of killing a king cobra respectively. What is Narayan Nagbali? Narayan Nagbali is the pooja performed for the diseased people of the family from the past 7 generations. Narayan Nagbali is performed at the graveyard of Sati. When a persson is diseased then there are rituals to be performed from the 1 day of the death till the 14th.

Essentials for performing Puja
Please note the following
- Puja to be performed on given Mahurat dates has to be informed 15 days in advance.
- We have facility of lodging.Hence advance booking with payment should be done.
- Once the Puja date is fixed, guests need to be arrived a day before till 6 pm.
Essentials for performing Puja
For Gents : Dhoti (1 nos.), Baniyan (1 nos.), Towel (1 nos.), Napink (1 nos.) and undergarments ( 1 set ) (Clothing bought separately for each puja).
For Ladies : Colourful printed saree (1 nos.) ( Strictly Saree should not have white, green red and black colour ), blouse (1 nos.), peticoat (1 nos.) (Clothing bought separately for each puja).

- For performing Narayan Nagbali puja. The idol has purchased from Trimbakeshwar so as to maintain standardisation.
- For performing Narayan Nagbali puja, performer needs to shed all his hairs as per Hindu custom. This is mandetory.
- About charges include puja and lunch for two. For extra persons you need to inform in advance.
- For lodging we expect not more than 4 family members. If the number exceeds plz inform in advance.
- For some reasons we are unable to make facilities of food and lodging, we shall inform you well in advance.
- For any queries, pl carry your Janma Patrika along with you.
Please Note
- For each problem or Dosh, puja has tobe performed seperately by the indiviual.
- New clothes has tobe used for each puja.
- Performance of Narayan Nagbali and Tripindi during the period of Nagpanchami or Pritrupaksha is not very true. Performance of puja should on basis of Patrika / horoscope of indiviual.
- The puja period should not coincide with menstrual period of women of house.
- Aged or ill person should perform the puja at their own risk. They should have responsible person with them.
- Indiviuals should carry umbrellas, raincoats during rainy season and wollen clothes during winter.
- Narayan Nagbali, Tripindi, Kalsarpa puja are different and has tobe performed for different purpose.

Thoughts about Muhurta Kaal (Auspicious Time)
From the above mentioned rules Dhanishta Panchak and Tripad Nakshatra are not allowed to perform Narayan Nagbali. The beginning of Dhanishta Nakshtra to Revati's end this four and a half Nakshtras are called Dhanishta Panchak Tripad means Krutika, Punarwasu, Uttaraphalguni, Vishakha, Uttarshadha these Nakshtra's (Nakshtra means constellations )
गुरू भार्गवयोमौढये पौषमासे मलिम्लुचे ।
नातीत: पितृमेध: स्याद्वयां गोदावरी विना ।।
From the above mentioned rule when Guru is eclipsed by 'Shukra' and in Malmasa similarly in Pausha mas this ritual should not be performed even though this ritual should not be performed even though this rule is there it does not apply here. This is the above mentioned shastra verse. As at the Godavari 's river's mouth this blemish is not applicable (Nirnay Sindhu: page 622)
Thoughts about Karma
चातुर्वेर्ण्येन कर्तेव्यो बलिनारायणोsभिद ।
Narayan Nagabali can be performed by all the people from four varnas. They have the right to it. This ritual can be performed when your parents are alive as well as not it is your right to so. If you are to be compulsorily performed.
Married person must perform this vidhi along with his wife, If his wife is not alive he can has right to perform it alone. many have mistaken that if this vidhi is performed by anyone in the family there is a no need to perform it by others. But this is a misunderstanding everyone and each of the family member has the right to perform it especially those who have some blemish in their kundali (horoscope) should do it. In the families who lack male members should get it done from the Bramhanas. Singe woman or a woman alone cannot perform this Vidhi.
Shastripandit from anywhere else do not have much knowledge about it. As this worship is a specialty of this area only. And so the rituals as per the shastra's have been decided here to perform this vidhi. It is found that many people have fulfilled there wishes here. Similarly erosions are also eroded here, sometimes if the Naga on the wealth is killed for the desire of the wealth this Naga gains salvation by entering the humans body. This is seen in many examples. Those couples who are married for 15-20 years and still remain childless have borne children after performing this vidhi. This has been seen through many examples.
These who bear only girl child and do not bear male child also have borne more child after performing this vidhi. Those who bear children and they do not live long also have found that their children received good health there are such hundred of examples of which list is not possible to give as it would make a book in itself. In short shastrajaras' to evade various miseries in family life (prapanch) for seen and unseen reasons, have told some vidhis of which, a proved one Vedic Anusthan is this. It needs complete faith in it. As Marathi is the theory: so do perform this vidhi by keeping faith in lord Trimbakeshwar and have all the happiness for your family life through it.
